Why have the same episodes of The Simpsons ...

Simpsons FAQ | 3.02.2011 3:00 | 1 Comment

For months now, The Simpsons in syndication have been airing the same episodes over and over from the most recent season. This seems insane to do for any show, but especially one that has more than 20 years and over 400 episodes to draw from. Why are they doing this, and what possible good can come from alienating their regular viewers by showing the same episodes that aired a week and a half earlier?

Well as boring and repetitive as it may be it does make sense. Think of it as an art gallery and fox network is the artist. If you were the artist would you keep putting up your oldest works on display over and over again or your newest that you are most likely more proud of then your oldest (and are probably better.)
