because he’s an all-american stereotype, all he wants to do is drink beer and watch tv and gamble, when Ned is always preaching that all he likes to do is wrong. But in the classic series b4 they made ned religious he hated him cuz he always had things better than homer and could afford better things lol.
homer is the sufferer and ned is the one that has the church and the perfect life. they had an episode when ned lost everything and went against God to give a hint. It showed how some religious ppl react once they loose everything and all they have is God and homer is a basic guy that goes to church and takes life as it comes.
