I can’t seem to figure this one out. Marge seems like a smart girl so why is she married to such a dufus and a goofball?

I think there was this episode once where Homer forgot what colored-eyes Marge had and then throughout the episode, he tried to remember what was her eye color.

Then there was this song which Homer sang to her when they were both dating. I think when they were still dating, Homer must have been super, super romantic (and who doesn’t like romantic guys?) and that’s why Marge loves him so much.

They do have a healthy sex life too :D

Because she fell for him, not only that but she made the mistake nearly all women make with men….

They think they can change them.

Sadly she couldnt, but happily, she’s an understanding type of gal, and has stood by Homer through thick and thin.

God only knows how though, he’d be out on his ass after a month with me!

because she loved him for some odd reason, and she was pregnant with bart at the time.

At first she thought he was a sweet guy he even flunked in a subject just to get her as a tutor. That’s where they fell in love, and he took her to prom. After they were old enough they got married.

Because apparently all hollywood writers follow the same stupid formula: hot smart-ish women hook up with stupid fat guys.

I present to you the evidence here of other sitcoms that do the same off the top of my head: Family Guy, King of Queens, According to Jim, Still Standing, George Lopez, American Dad, The Honeymooners, The Flinstones, Drew Carrey Show and Grounded for Life.

Then there are even the movies: Knocked Up, The Honeymooners, Deck the Halls, Dodgeball and Grandma’s Boy.

Alot of commercials follow that format too. Just think about it. The hot smart wife corrects the actions of her stupid unattractive husband and then gives that “knowing smile.”

Ugh Do people have original ideas anymore? Lol sorry I went on a bit of a rant :0).
