Homer Simpson. Despite being an idiot he is a well intentioned idiot. The early seasons really represented him as a well rounded character who did more than just gags. The 1st time he has to say goodbye to his mother, you actually felt sadness for him. Peter is funny, but he is a one note character.

in fact people who know me said i could’ve been the young homer simpson,if you look at the episode where we 1st see the young homer(thin and with long hair),well that was me at 15(except for the fact that 20 years later i still have my hair and am still somewhat reasonably thin)
