Homer, because he is still a decent guy who tries to be a good dad. Peter is just cruel most of the time; he can be funny, but not lovable.

Homer is definitely more lovable. The Simpsons in general, is a much more heart-felt show than Family Guy.

I think Peter is funnier but he’s also a complete moron and if I met someone like that in real life I’d probably punch him. Although I wouldn’t describe Homer as “lovable” he does have some redeeming qualities.
