As far as odd episodes, there’s one from the new Twilight Zone series called ‘Sunrise’. Basically these collage students are exploring an ancient cave and in this one room there’s a bowl of blood standing in the center. I can’t remember how it happens but one of them accidentally knocks it over and the sun disappears from the sky. They slowly discover an ancient legend written in the cave saying that if the bowl of blood is spilled, the sun disappears forever.
