They’re both 2-D, if they were 3-D the characters would look
bulky and such, like Jimmy Neutron.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3F5SHvkE…
(? that’s 3-D, Jimmy Neutron..)
South Park started off using paper cut outs, but now
it’s all just computer animated, but not 3-D..and neither
is The Simpsons. (although The Simpsons did have an
episode where they turned 3-D, and South Park has a video
game in 3-D also)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYAwXI_xN…
(that’s the south park video game, in which they look
3-D)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uQwjgZ0k…
(and that’s part of the 3-D episode of The Simpsons)
Here, is you’re still not convinced The Simpsons
is 2-D, Matt Groening (the creator) says it himself,
read the second paragraph of this article
where he says “”The characters in CGI have human eyes. THAT’S WHY I LIKE THE 2-D ANIMATION WE USE. Our illustrators draw a circle and put a dot in the middle. Now that is an animated eye.”
here’s the link:http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment…
South Park is also much funnier, but The Simpsons
will always be a classic.

They are both animated series, and thus 2D. No television that I know of in production today could show 3 dimensional entertainment.
Now if you mean to say are they animated in such a way to give the illusion of 3D. Then only the Simpsons is 3D. Here is proof of South Park being 2D animation: http://www.southparkstudios.com/ (watch the newest episode)
Now South Park is infinity more funny than Simpsons presently, but that wasn’t always true. It’s just the new Simpsons aren’t consistently hilarious.

South Park is way more vulgar than the Simpsons, way more violent, and doesn’t have mercy when it comes to making fun of taboo subjects.
Also, someone usually gets killed in every episode of South Park. During the first 5 seasons, this was usually Kenny, though they stopped killing him every episode after he came back halfway in season 6 (He still gets killed now and again, though)…When has anyone ever died in The Simpsons?

Well, with South Park, they actually cut out paper parts and then take pictures of the characters in different positions. The Simpsons are just animated.

south park says more curse words and the Simpson’s doesn’t
simpson’s is more animated than south park because south park is just made of construction paper.
