Stewie has better material as his premise is a lot more nonsensical as a baby with a plan on world domination. Bart’s just a normal kid with highly destructive tendencies. That is easier to copy out of and thus there are way too many imitations.

Stewie’s funnier but Bart has been around longer and probably was one of the main things behind Stewie’s creation.

I will always love the Simpsons but i agree, i think Stewie is a lot funnier than Bart, Bart has his moments but Stewie is almost continuosly making ma laugh so i go for Stewie. I think part of it is cuz he is just a baby and yet still coming out with all this crazy stuff no real child esp at that age could think of lol

I think Stewie is much funnier than Bart. His personality has no match to his character’s appearance, and it’s hard to expect what he’ll say next.

I personally like Stewie Griffin a lot. I don’t watch the Simpsons that often.

The answer lies in what you think is funny. For instance, if it is societal satire *along with realism*, then Bart (And the whole Simpsons’ cast) is the way to go. But if it is nonsense and idiocy you enjoy, then Stewie Griffin and the “Family Guy” cast is your best bet. Personally, I think Stewie is funnier as a character, but “The Simpsons” is a better show in the long run.

I’ve been watching the Simpsons from the beginning and Bart had this trouble make, bad boy image going at first but over the years they’ve had too many episodes of him being a wuss.
I remember the episode from years ago where Bart raised an army to bring down Nelson and then a few weeks ago watching him get upset because Millhouse wasn’t his friend anymore.
I would like to stay a Bart fan, but after 19 years he’s just played out. I mean, I remember when the fact that Bart skateboarded was cool, but now it’s like what kid doesn’t skateboard.
I give him his does and everything but I can’t remember the last time I laughed at a Simpsons episode and yet some of the off the wall stuff from Family Guy just crack me up.
