Airing tonight in North America is ‘The Scorpion’s Tale’:

After a field trip to the desert, Lisa discovers that the desert water mysteriously makes typically combative creatures get along, so she brings some of the water home as a souvenir. When Grampa moves in with the family after getting kicked out of the retirement home, Homer secretly tests the desert water on Grampa, who is instantly cured of his crankiness. A pharmaceutical representative (Werner Herzog) gets word of Homer’s discovery and quickly tries to replicate the water into a drug, using Grampa as the primary guinea pig. But when the pills get in the wrong hands and are sold on the black market, unexpected side effects of the new drug take an eye-popping toll on the elderly citizens of Springfield, and the Simpsons learn that their new medical cure comes with major consequences. Also guest starring Jackie Mason as Rabbi Krustofski.

This has got to be one of the best episodes in years that’s not to say I haven’t seen good episodes lately but this was classic season worthy. I had no problem with the eye popping out gag other then the fact that it was extremely gross, and to anyone wondering if it is possible for a persons eye to pop out like that, YES it is. My sister works as a scrub tech at an eye doctor and surgical center and one of the doctors was checking eye pressure and the young women who was getting her eye pressure checked had her eye popped out just like in the episode the doctor reassured the women that nothing had happened and quietly and quickly popped her eye back in. Totally true story my sister witnessed the whole thing.
