Yes it was original music and lyrics written by composer Alf Clausen and writer John Swartzwelder.
being a devoted simpsons fan my self I would half to say I belive it is a original as I do know they often use songs that were already released but I think that was for the eppisode but however if you have heard the tune before in a lot off episodes they may take a song and change it up a little bit for the eppisode hope this helps as much as it can sorry for a vauge answeer though you may try lyrcs.com they will probly have it if it is not just for the show
