I saw on one episode of the Simpsons where homer steals an expensive gum statue and he makes away with it by shaking a can of coke and opening with a bag of peanuts attached to it, exploding the gallery. Will it work? I want to try it!
It will definitely explode, but not to this extent as you have mentioned.
If you want a more massive explosion try out a beer can or champagne bottle. Then the blast will be enough to hurt humans, but again not to your desired extent.
