To me it seems Fox News Channel is what is so right-wing. Most of Fox’s regular programming seems to be very liberal; i.e. Simpsons, Family Guy, Cleveland Show, Fringe, House, Bones…the list goes on!

It’s FOX’s way of trying to be fair. They might be run by republicans but they want to come across as not a biased news source.

The NEWS network is right wing. The entertainment division is headed by a different person and usually hands off politically.
eta: Just to point out, the Fox entertainment network existed for a decade before the “news” network. They are completely separate.
