How Many Ways Do The Simpsons Get To Their Couch At The End Of The Intro?

Simpsons FAQ | 14.01.2010 10:52 | 5 Comments

Every time I see the introduction to the animated television sitcom The Simpsons, there’s always a different way that they get to the couch!!! Sometimes the couch moves, or somebody else is there, or it could be ANYTHING random.
How many different versions to the introduction are there???
And better yet, is there a collection of them???

As of February 15,2009, 269. Some of the couch gags haves very small alterations I didn’t count the ones with just like a line added, but you can just count the all out yourself if you need to count specifc thins.
Sometimes on youtube.com. There is an older collection on DVD.
This link will take to a video that has all of them as of March 9,2009:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl2o2fCJf…

It’s called the couch gag, and there’s a different one for almost every episode. It’s just like the chalkboard gag, Bart always writes something different on the chalkboard.

well there are about 430 episodes of the Simpson’s to date however a couple of times some couch sequences are repeated. So there you could assume that there are anywhere between 380-430 different sequences.
I’m not aware of a collection of these sequences sorry man.
Hope it helped
