I am wondering what software is used to create cartoons such as the simpsons, family guy and southpark. All of the cartoons look very clean like it was done in flash. hope somebody can answer this for me!

The Simpsons used traditional hand-drawn animation until its fourteenth season, when they switched to digital coloring; like Family Guy, they both ship animation overseas to Rough Draft Korea, which uses ToonBoom to create specialized 3D effects. South Park is animated using Maya and PowerAnimator, which gives them the freedom to make episodes quickly given the level of software used.

they draw the characters firsthand
then use the computer to generate the models and movements
its a job you need very good skill or finish college

umm you cant just be a cartoonist all of a sudden you need to go to school
