What can be said with Homer Simpson working in a nuclear power plant regarding the social/moral implications of it.
Homer is clumsy so by working in a power plant could that mean society views nuclear power as something that shouldn’t be used because of the risk?

I think the homer simpson that we see is basic human error filled into one body, the only thing keeping him alive is good old LUCK, but i do think the message is human error will be the nuclear power plant but pure LUCK will keep it from going horribly wrong.

You looked into that way too much. I think you need to put your tin foil hat back on.

Homer Simpson working in the nuclear power plant has NOTHING to do with views that it’s unsafe.

you have to remember that matt groening actually pitched the simpsons idea to his bosses by drawing on a tissue and showing them!! i dont think at that present time they were thinking , hmm yes we will make homer work in a plant because its unsafe .. also you have to remember this was made in late 80′s so the views then, i really dont think they had any clue about global warming and so on, but again its just one of those things that they done to make it fun and interesting with no meaning behind it. but everyone interprets things in a different way
