The Simpsons

The Simpsons are produced at Gracie Films (that end credit where someone shushes a person in a movie theater), which is based at the Sidney Poitier building at Sony Picture Studios in Culver City, CA. I don’t know if they give tours of the actual Simpsons production studios though.

There isn’t one place where the show is produced. The actors mainly work from a studio at 20th Century Fox, but the majority of the animation and production is done in Korea where the expenses are a fraction of the cost here. Some of the animation is done at Film Roman, a production company in Burbank. The writers work out of Gracie Productions on the Sony lot.
There are no official tours of the Fox lot, but you can go to other tapings there. You won’t really see much besides a great big wall with a Simpsons mural, though. You can take a tour of the Sony lot, but you won’t see anything regarding the show there.
Your best bet would be to take them to the new Simpsons ride at Universal Studios. I haven’t been to it yet, but I’ve heard it’s awesome, and I bet your boys would love it.

You may want to visit Universal Studios. The new Simpsons the ride just opened about a month ago. It takes the place of the older Back to the Future Ride. Besides that you can take a tour of many studios where they’ve filmed a whole bunch of movies, unfortunately because of the huge fire they had last month, who knows what’s left. After that you can take your kids to Citywalk and enjoy the night, there’s plenty to do there; restaurants, clubs, bars, shops, etc

The other answers are wrong, no offense:) I am sure Wikapedia was right at one point, but The Simpsons are made in a building on 20th and Broadway in Santa Monica. I have a close friend who is a delivery driver to that building. Matt Groning however you spell his name also lives in Santa Monica (the creator)
