Something Strange in ‘Simpsons’ ...
Something very strange has happened to “the Simpsons” in recent weeks – as if it’s it’s suddenly being written by people who aren’t that familiar with the show in the first place.
What happens in Springfield stays in Springfield!

Few cult films have had as big an influence on pop culture as the 1984 mockumentary, a oeThis Is Spinal Tap,a about a floundering hard-rock band whose amps go to 11.
Fox have announced the winner of their recent Create a character contest, in which fans from the USA were griven the chance to create their very own character which would then make an appearance in an episode of the series.
The character they’ve chosen is from Peggy Black of Orange County, California. She created the character Ricardo Bomba (nicknamed “La Bomba”), a smooth-talking ladies’ man from South America with a luxurious black mane, a chiseled physique and a voice as smooth as silk. By day, Ricardo works as a safety inspector at the nuclear power plant, and by night, he works Springfield’s singles scene – melting women’s hearts all over town. As the grand prize winner, Black won a trip to Los Angeles where she met with Simpsons producers and animators and worked with the team to bring Ricardo Bomba to life.
“La Bomba” will appear in the all new episode “Million Dollar Maybe”, which airs January 21st:
Homer blows off a date with Marge to buy a lottery ticket. When Homer wins the million-dollar jackpot, he fears how Marge will react when she finds out why he missed their date. Homer keeps his newly inherited fortune a secret, and instead spoils his family with “anonymous” gifts. When Bart finds out, he gives Homer a lesson in looking out for number one. Additionally, Chris Martin of Coldplay makes a guest voice appearance as himself in the episode.
Bart tracks down Andy Hamilton, Springfield Elementary’s best prankster ever (guest voice Jonah Hill) and they become fast friends until Bart gets Andy a job working for the ultimate clown.
Harry Potter is trading in his wand for fangs. Did Twilight director confirm Stewart and Pattinson’s relationship? Executive producer Al Jean told the magazine that Radcliffe will play Edmund, a young vampire that captures Lisa’s heart.

Recently I read that the lady that does the voice of Bart Simpson in the TV show donated $10 million to the Church of Scientology.
Last night’s episode ‘The Devil Wears Nada’ had a total of 9.04 million viewers. This makes the episode the second highest rated this season, behind ‘Bart Gets a ‘Z’ which had 9.32 million viewers last month. The Cleveland Show followed with 7.01 million viewers, while a usually-dominant Family Guy had 8.28 million viewers at 9:00 (yes, it was a new episode too). The Simpsons figures were helped by the overrun of the preceding Football match but kept it on top for the night. American Dad had 5.99 million viewers at 9.30pm.
Fox was third overall for the night and second among the 18 – 49 demographic. NBC was the winner in both categories.

A new episode titled “Pranks and Greens” airs next Sunday night.
I’ve been waiting all season for this episode. As a long-lapsed fan of The Simpsons , it was beginning to look like someone had sucked the heart right out of Springfield’s first family.

In an effort to raise money for charity, Marge and “Philanthro-Chicks” decide to pose for a calendar. At the photo studio, Marge is a bit reluctant to reveal any skin, but the photographer loosens her up with wine and before long, Marge and her pin-up poses are the talk of Springfield.
